The South Manchester Food Festival organisers are promising a ‘gastronomic journey’ as they announce the lineup of chef demonstrations in the Live Cookery Theatre.

  • Babna’s Patisserie: An independent Manchester-based dessert specialist.
  • Olayemi Adelekan: A UK-based Personal Chef and MasterChef 2022 semi-finalist, Yemi celebrates Nigerian and African flavours.
  • Eva Humphries: Nutritionist Eva brings two demonstrations of irresistible recipes with a healthy twist.
  • Nikita Gordon: A teacher at the Vegetarian Society Cookery School with a particular interest in Asian cookery and world cuisine.

Sunday:

  • Hayley Taylor: An independent fishmonger, Haley will transform a range of fresh seafood ingredients into delectable dishes.
  • Chef Dave Broxton: An executive chef who has worked alongside Michelin star chefs Michael Canes MBE and Paul Heathcote MBE.
  • Chef Gareth Mason: Multi award-winning with a diverse portfolio of experience, cooking for top celebrities, footballers, and even prime ministers. An enthusiast of world cuisines.
  • Sean Noonan: Winner of the Teflon Diamond Standard National Young Chef of The Year and head chef at the Mitton Hall Hotel, Sean thrives on turning fresh and seasonal produce into flavourful and aromatic creations.
  • Mina: Something for the sweet tooth is Mina, founder of Cinammmm and creator of cinnamon buns infused with famous flavours such as Nutella, Biscoff, and caramel.

Apart from the cookery demonstrations, the festival includes entertainment for all ages, including an entertainment stage, roaming comedy, funfair, and inflatables.

The Street Food Arena will offer a range of global cuisines. And an artisan market will host over 90 market traders showcasing local produce, fresh baked-goods, hand-made crafts, and local art.

Those searching refreshment can enjoy a range of independent bars, alongside a full ale house featuring craft ales and cask favourites.

The festival has partnered with charity Manchester Mind and hopes to add to more than £100,000 raised already for mental health initiatives across the north.
