New football club for Wythenshawe

Wythenshawe Wanderers Football Club are a new open age Sunday football team. They will play in the Cheshire & Manchester Sunday Football League.

Club founders Ryan Connolly, Matthew Austin, Aaron Connolly, Domenico Guttadauro and Ryan Barton had the idea to create a new club when playing 5-aside but struggled to finance the operation so approached local businesses for help.

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group and small batch gin producers Zymurgorium stepped forward to help with the 2018/19 season. Ryan Connolly commented: “It is great to see local organisations and businesses engaging in community clubs and activities. Without their support this would not have been possible.”
