Northenden-based essential business services provider, kinex, supported their local area by providing matched funding for the Northenden Community School summer fair. The fair was run by the parent-teacher association, known as the Friends of Northenden Community School.
Through their Community Support Scheme, kinex pledged to match the funding of the games activities, presenting £400 in the final assembly of the year.
On the donation, headteacher, Mr Ian Beard, commented: “We are very grateful to kinex for their generous support in providing matched funding for our summer fair activities. It is wonderful to have the support of a local company and their employees, and for them to recognise the hard work of our parent-teacher association and the needs of the school in this way. Thank you, kinex, from everyone at Northenden Community school.”
Kinex’s PR and content manager, Molly Chong, added: “We are always looking for new ways to support not only our local area but also nationally through the kinex community support scheme.
“The parent-teacher association work tirelessly to support Northenden Community school in various ways, and we were extremely proud to be able to add to this in a small way. Presenting the cheque in assembly to so many smiling faces has already become a highlight since joining kinex.”
Funds from the day are going towards refurbishment of the ITC Suite, upgrading the computers used by all pupils at the school.
