Wythenshawe winners at Be Proud Awards

The annual Be Proud Awards celebrate the volunteers and unsung heroes who work hard to make Manchester great. These groups and individuals make a big difference to their communities and many from Wythenshawe received acknowledgement for their hard work:

Blossoming Communities - Friends of Rose hill (runner up)

Business in the Community - Newall Green Gymnastics Club (runner up)

Bringing Communities Together - Manchester Enterprise Academy Diversity Ambassadors (winners), Stephen Evans (runner up)

Community Force - Peel Hall Moat Watch (runners up)

Community Project of the Year - The Bideford Centre (winners)

Neighbour of the Year - Jean Poole and Eric Booth (runners up)

Volunteer of the Year (group) - Manchester Young Lives Junior Playworkers Project (runners up), Northenden Players Theatre Club (runners up)

Volunteer of the Year (individual) - Steven Taylor (runner up)

Young Achiever - Shannon Stone (runner up)
